What is a Control Arm?

The control arm is the connection between the wheel, brake, suspension, and the chassis. As the name suggests, the control arm is mounted transversely to the direction of travel. It is connected to the chassis via a control arm bushing and, due to its mounting, accommodates the vertical spring movements of the shock absorber.
